"I went on a solo-adventure to Peru in May because I had been obsessed with photos of Machu Picchu for years and hiking the Inca Trail seemed like a great way to experience nature while on vacation. Photos cannot do justice to the beauty of the Peruvian countryside. Tall mountains, rushing rivers and blooming flowers were punctuated by ancient ruins – It doesn’t get any better than that! The food was also fantastic! The ceviche is unrivaled and I learned that I have a serious love for Pisco sours. It’s also worth mentioning that as a young woman travelling alone I felt very safe exploring Peru on my own. The only complaint I have about my trip was that it was too short, I can’t wait to return!"
